Answer :
I am assuming that you want to FULLY maximise your stay in singapore, so i'm going to give you as maxunyn time schedule allocation:

1) 2pm - 3pm : get a hotel ( go to travelocity or zuji.com, i cant help you with that ) If you want relative affordable, go to furama hotel (it's near chinatown), higher end Pan Pacific Hotel at the City Hall area )

2) 3pm - 5 pm: If you really want to know Singapore, and wants to go Sentosa, go to IMAGES OF SINGAPORE , it's a 1 hour museum - trip - education, it shows you EVERYthing about singapore in one hour. and then take your pictures at the nearby "Carlsberg Sky Tower" (just beside the "images of singapore" 15mins $15dollars (the largest Merlion statue is nearby you can take pictures),

and have your snacks at Subway there, then head down to your Underwater World, and go to Siloso Beach for your Sun bathing (This will satisfy the kid, and it is knowledge learning for adults)

3) 6 - 9pm Wash up and head down to Night Safari (its an amazing place with the tram rides opens at 7pm (night creatures are truely different!), have your dinner there. Try to leave the place early so you have more time

4) 9-10pm: Get back to hotel and get the child to sleep! If he doent sleep yet go to Esplanade area to take a BUM BOAT RIDE down singapore river. ( you will see where clarke quay is during the boat ride)

5) 10-2am: Time for the adults, you cant miss this place! night life clubs and pubs / bistro at Clarke Quay. It's an amazing place you dont want to miss. (what's there: ministryofsound, forbidden city, fashionbar, all things interesting for ages 18-55)

next day:

6) morning: Go to have your breakfast at Chinatown / explore the place / museums / or go to BUGIS, get to SIM LIM SQUARE to get the cheap electronic products, make sure you always walk away from the shop owners so they will give you better price as you are a tourist. Remember to pick up the brochures at the entrance of most shops (level 3 - 5) with the price lists so they cannot give you 2nd prices.

7) Go to Equinox res for lunch, you can see the whole of city Singapore from there, no time for detail. If you have additional time, take a taxi to suntec city and take the DUCK TOUR (it's a bus-boat that can travel on road and water, you can experience a guided tour from there)

8) Pack your bags and go to Airport to enjoy the experience at the airport.

Areas cluster: chinatown / little india / city hall / singapore river / bugis / sentosa

Answer :
Night safari opens at night, how are u gonna go to dinner at chinatown after that? the place would be closed. I'd suggest skip the zoo. Why don't u absorb the sights and sounds of real singapore instead of going to the zoo?? havent u seen the tigers, lions, chimpanzees and stuff before? watch it on nat geo! Laptop shops are all over Sim Lim Square. that's where locals buy their computers. Lunch at Bugis Junction, not Bukit junction. What's so nice about seeing the merlion????sigh,...i dont understand u guys..........

Answer :
Depending on your interests and whether you have children
1. The zoo is a great place for a family and you can always go to the night safari after that which will bring you to about 10PM. You can get dinner in the zoo or night safari but it is expensive but then again, what do you expect.. this is a tourist attraction location.
2. If you want any electronic shopping, you can go down to Funan Center where you have literally hundreds of shops selling electronics. Not worth getting used notebooks as the new ones are very competitively priced. Shopping in Changi airport is fine but I have always found them to be quite similarly priced compared to the city. Oh, if you are from out of town, you can claim back your Goods and Services Tax rebate at the airport after you have checked in. I suggest you go to Changi Airport website for details on what document proof needed. I believe the Great Singapore Sale should be on during June as it is the school holidays.
And since it is the holidays, make sure you book your hotels soon. Hotel rooms are getting very tight in Singapore these days. You can always get family rooms or adjacent rooms.
Other things to do would be to take a ride in the Singapore wheel which will give you a great view of Singapore. And then you can always take a leisure lunch at Marina Center which is within walking distance of the wheel. And also do some last minute shoppings at the mall there or at Suntec City ( walking distance)
Dinner at Boat Quay or Clark Quay although Clark Quay is more happening these days. Lots of restaurants and drinking joints.

Have fun...
