What's the first thing to come to mind if u are asked whats so special about SINGAPORE?

Anyone knows about this country (non-singaporeans)? What do foreigners think of immediately when asked about singapore? thanks! i'm trying to find whats so special about the country. (none of those cliche merlion, kiasu people, esplanade thing)

Answer :
First thing to come in mind thats special : Singlish

What foreigners think immediately about Singapore:
(from relatives) FINES and no Chewing gum

Answer :
I think of MRT,don't know why.May be because only here i see people are boarding on the train, while poor others struggling to alight. Still can't use to it.

Answer :
I have always admired and enjoyed the safe and clean environment throughout the city state. Then there are the superbly efficient transport and telecommunication infrastructure that make living so convenient. Last but not least, Singapore is truly a gourmet paradise - such high quality food and variety from food-court fare to fine dining establishments. These come to mind as "first-impression"; as a regular visitor, I feel there isn't a physical structure that can be representational of Singapore (national icons like Great Wall, Liberty Statue etc). If I were to choose one, it would be "Phua Chu Kang" - no la, just play play only!!

Answer :
Singapore's unique identity.
The Singaporeans, its Singlish Language, its culture, the glorious FOOD galore. The feeling of Home, the peace, the security, the sights, the sounds. The Law and Order.

Answer :
phua chu kang-singlish
it has many skycrapers in the tiny island
clean, will be compound if throw rubbish everywhere
transportation is good

Answer :
a colleague from Vietnam once mention to me.. that its so green in singapore... i believe it. the rest would probably be the food and shopping.

Answer :
I think of political suppression, followed by poor service attitude, followed by clean & organized streets & buildings.
